Attempted Abduction In Severna Park

UPDATE 04:16PM 11/14/2011:  Anne Arundel County Police have issued the following statement regarding the attempted abduction this morning in Severna Park:

On November 14, 2011, at approximately 9:50 a.m., the School Resource Officer assigned to Severna Park High School was contacted by a 15-year-old female student regarding an attempted abduction. The juvenile reported that a male suspect grabbed her through the window frame of his vehicle. The juvenile broke free of his grasp and fled to the school, where she reported the incident.

The incident occurred on White Oak Drive near Cedar Road in Severna Park, Maryland, at approximately 9:30 a.m. as the victim was walking to school. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or White male in his 40’s with a dark complexion, medium build and short, dark hair. He was last seen wearing mirrored sunglasses. The vehicle was described as a dark green, older model, two door pick up truck with tinted windows.

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating an attempted abduction of a young girl this morning in Severna Park. Police are searching for an hispanic male driving a green vehicle who was involved in the incident which took place in the area of White Oak Drive.  Further details have not been released.
