Anne Arundel Man Captured, Arrested In Child Abduction Case. The Maryland State Police said troopers arrested an Anne Arundel County man in the abduction of his 7-year-old son in Clarksburg.Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Donald Joseph Brown, 34, was arrested in a home in Annapolis, and troopers said they found the boy unharmed.About 8:30 a.m. Sunday, State Police said that Brown abducted his son from a bus stop at the Philippi Elementary School in Clarksburg.Brown hit a school employee with his car while driving away from the school with the child, police said.

Former Governor Ehrlich To Release Book. A book by Maryland’s only Republican governor in a generation is set to hit the shelves in December. The Washington Post reported that former Gov. Robert Ehrlich said in an interview Monday that his book, “Turn This Car Around: The Roadmap to Restoring America,” will be released on Dec. 6.Ehrlich said the book signals his desire “to be relevant in the national debate” but that he has no desire to run for elected office again. BenBella Books, a boutique publisher, described Ehrlich’s work on its website as “a call to action.” It said it “provides insightful suggestions to help resolve many of the issues in America.”

Ravens Look Flat, Fall To Jags On Monday Night Football. On one night, on one big stage, the Jacksonville Jaguars did everything better than the Baltimore Ravens. Maurice Jones-Drew ran for 105 yards against the NFL’s best run defense, Josh Scobee kicked four field goals and the Jaguars snapped a five-game slide with a 12-7 victory over the Ravens on Monday night. Stepping into the national spotlight for a few hours, the Jaguars used their best defensive effort in five years to slow down Ray Rice, Joe Flacco and Co.

Consecutive Multi-Match Drawings Produce Jackpot. The Maryland Lottery’s Multi-Match game has produced a jackpot winner in consecutive drawings.Lottery officials said a Prince George’s County man and his wife on Friday claimed a $500,000 prize in connection with the Oct. 17 drawing.A $2.8 million jackpot was won Oct. 13 and was claimed by a Laurel man. The winners of the Oct. 17 drawing said they had been playing the same numbers for almost six years. They plan to use the winnings for home improvements and to help family members.
