Gas Prices Up, But Gadhafi’s Death Could Bring Decline. While gas prices have jumped recently, some experts predict the death of former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi may mean lower prices are on the way. After a few weeks of steady decline, gas prices are back on the rise. “The national average is actually flat at $3.46 a gallon,” said Ragina Averella of AAA Mid-Atlantic. “Maryland has gone up about two cents, up to $3.41 per gallon. That’s up two cents over the last week.”Analysts said high crude oil prices and the Euro zone debt crisis have contributed to the trend, but we may see some relief at the pump now that Gadhafi is dead. Experts said with the dictator gone, there’s less chance for violence to get in the way of Libya’s oil production.

Admiral Fell Inn Rated 6th Spookiest Spot. Marylanders seeking a spooky spot for Halloween need look no further than Fells Point’s Admiral Fell Inn. TripAdvisor.com recently named the hotel the country’s No. 6 spookiest destination. “Any kind of publicity or acknowledgment from Trip Advisor for being the top hotel in anything, we’re excited about it,” said Larry Noto, the hotel’s marketing director.Noto said the 80-room hotel consists of seven buildings dating back to the 1770s. Over the years, the buildings served as everything from a boarding house for sailors to a YMCA and even a vinegar factory.
