Medicare 101

Are you new to Medicare and not sure what you need to do? Learn about this federal health insurance program for seniors age 65 and older at “Medicare: The Basics and Beyond” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Pascal Senior Activity Center, 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie. New this year is a date change for open enrollment in Medicare Parts C (Medicare Advantage) and D (Prescription Drugs) – it is Oct. 15 through Dec. 7.

Amy Rubino, director of the Senior Health Insurance Assistance Program, Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities, will present information about Medicare to help you make informed decisions. The workshop is part of “The Future Is Now! Are You Ready?” series presented monthly by the Department through May 2012.
