Baysox Add To Front Office Staff

The Bowie Baysox announced a new addition to their marketing department. Calvert County, Md., native Matt Wilson joins the staff as the new Communications Manager, taking over for Tom Sedlacek.

Wilson moves into his new role after spending last season as the Communications Assistant for the Baysox, where he handled all of the day-to-day baseball information for the team.

“We are excited to have Matt join the staff full-time after serving as an intern last season,” said Baysox Assistant General Manager Phil Wrye. “He is an extremely hard-working individual and we expect him to thrive in his new role within the organization.”

As Communications Manager, Wilson will be the primary contact for any media requests year-round. He will also be in charge of promoting the team and its events through press releases and social media.

Prior to joining the Baysox, Wilson worked in the communications department for the American Association of the State Highway and Transportation Officials. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park and received a Bachelor’s Degree in print journalism.
