Senior Art Show

Art work by students in the art classes at Annapolis Senior Activity Center will be on display from Oct. 2 through Nov. 11 at the Willow Gallery at Quiet Waters Park, off Hillsmere Drive, Annapolis. The show is part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Annapolis Senior Activity Center this year. The media are pastels, oils, watercolors and acrylics. The art will be available for purchase.

“It is amazing to see the quality of the art produced by seniors who have not had the time in their working lives to participate in art classes,” says Becky Batta, center director. “Some have started painting for the first time ever. They find a creative side to themselves and now are expressing themselves visually. We are pleased to present their works.

An opening reception will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 2 at the gallery and is free and open to the public. Admission to Quiet Waters Park is free for those attending the reception. For information, call Mrs. Batta at 410-222-1818.
