Punk’s Backyard Grill and Dawson’s Liquors to Host “Brewmasters” Craft Beer Dinner

Punk’s Backyard Grill (2188 Annapolis Mall) and Dawson’s Liquors (Severna Park, MD) are hosting a “Brewmasters” Beer Dinner in celebration of  Baltimore Beer Week 2011. The event will be held on Thursday, October 13that 7:00pm at Punk’s Backyard Grill.  The event will feature seven unique craft beers from Baltimore area brewers.

Featured breweries are Oliver Breweries (Baltimore, MD), Brewer’s Alley (Frederick, MD), Flying Dog Brewery (Frederick, MD), The Brewer’s Art (Baltimore, MD), and Heavy Seas Brewery (Baltimore, MD).  Each beer will be presented by a brewer with behind-the-scenes knowledge of the inspiration behind each brew, its malt bill and hop schedule, and what characteristics make it pair well with each dish. Guests are encouraged to ask questions of the brewers.

Each beer will be paired with a dish created by Executive Chef Dean Maupin of Punk’s Backyard Grill and Keswick Hall (Keswick, VA). The dinner will start with a “cocktail hour” reception (featuring beer, of course) and will be followed by five dishes, including dessert. Below is the pairing menu:
