Welcome to our newest column called Chowin’ Down! With so many places to eat in the area, we thought we should have a bar and restaurant review column for our readers. But we are not like the others.
How so? Well, first of all, we won’t be influenced by advertising. Many publications give preference to their advertisers. That is fine, but we prefer to give preference to our readers. Secondly, we do not have any trained food critics writing for us. Our writers are the folks next door–the ones toting screaming kids, and living life.
So, expect to see the good, the bad, and the ugly–but most of all expect to see the honest opinion of our reviewers. Doesn’t that make sense? Our reviewers are unannounced, dining on their own dime and on their own schedule.
And we want your opinions too. If our reviewer is off thew mark, please leave a comment. Start a conversation!
The first column will make it’s debut tomorrow with a review of the local favorite–The Mexican Cafe.
If you are a restaurant and would like to be reviewed, send us an email and we will put you on the list. But understand that since the reviewers are on their own, we cannot guarantee if or when you will be reviewed.
