‘Grace & Glorie’ Coming To Bowie Community Theater

Bowie Community Theatre announces the opening of their latest production,  “Grace & Glorie” written by Tom Ziegler, directed by Estelle Miller. Produced by special arrangements with Samuel French, Inc.. At the Bowie Playhouse, White Marsh Park, Rte 3 South, Bowie, Maryland. 8 p.m. October 7,8,14,15, 21,22 and 2 p.m. October 9 and 16.
Grace, a feisty 90 year old cancer patient, has checked herself out of the hospital to return to her beloved homestead cottage in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.  The volunteer hospice worker who appears with the pain medication Grace willfully left behind is a recently transplanted Harvard MBA from New York.  Glorie is tense, unhappy and guilt ridden.  As she attempts to care for and comfort the cantankerous rustic, this sophisticated urbanite gains new perspectives on values and life’s highs and lows.
The box office receipts for the first performance on October 7, 2011 will be donated to Food Link, Inc.
