Baysox To Host Costume Contest

The Bowie Baysox have announced a costume contest during Trick or Tweet Night at Prince George’s Stadium Wednesday Aug. 31, as the Baysox take on the Altoona Curve at 7:05 p.m. The top prize for the contest will be determined by fan voting through a poll on the team’s Facebook page.

Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers coordinates the event. “Trick or Tweet Night is all about the fans,” Rogers said. “They are controlling most aspects of the night through voting on the Baysox Facebook page. We will continue to offer fans options to vote on up until the event.”

Fans can vote for the top prize for the contest at www.facebook.com/BowieBaysox. Prize options include bobbleheads, hats, t-shirts, baseballs and the opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Any fan who participates in the costume contest and uses one of the special offer codes available on Facebook or Twitter to order their tickets at www.baysox.com also receives a free ticket to opening night for the Baysox “Psycho Safari” Haunted House Friday, Sept. 30, presented by Tulip Gulch Productions.

In addition to the costume contest, Trick or Tweet Night features a pair of ticket discounts for fans who follow the team on Facebook and Twitter and admittance to a special pregame reception in the Bud Light Picnic Pavilion from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a player Q-and-A session, $2 draft beer specials, cornhole and live music by Terry Glaze.

The discounted ticket options for the event include a Lower Reserved seat ticket for $7 (regularly $14), or a lower reserved seat ticket with a food voucher good for a free hotdog, chips and a small drink for $14.25. The Trick or Tweet tickets can only be ordered online at www.baysox.com using a special offer code available on the team’s Facebook and Twitter feeds, at www.facebook.com/BowieBaysox or www.twitter.com/BowieBaysox.
