Annapolis Youth Chorus To Hold Fall Auditions

Calling all kids!  The Annapolis Youth Chorus holds fall auditions for the 2011-2012 season from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on two consecutive Wednesdays, August 31 and September 7, at St. Anne’s Parish House on Duke of Gloucester Street.  Membership in the AYC, conducted by Jill J. Woodward is open to all students entering grades 3 through 12 regardless of race, religion, or creed.   Singers should prepare 16 measures of a show tune, folk song or hymn, and should bring sheet music for the accompanist.  They will also be asked to sing the first verse of “America the Beautiful” and will be given musical phrases to demonstrate pitch-matching and rhythmic skills. Auditions generally take less than ten minutes.

Auditions are by appointment only, please contact AYC manager Ken Kimble at (410) 268-2149 or [email protected]
