B/W Parkways Crash Kills 1, Injures 3.  Authorities said a car ran off the Baltimore-Washington Parkway in the Laurel area, killing one person and seriously injuring three others. U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. David Schlosser said the crash happened in the northbound lanes of the parkway near Route 197 at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday.The name of the deceased person has not yet been released.

Illegal Immigrant Bill To Go On Ballot. A petition drive against a measure allowing certain illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at Maryland colleges has succeeded in gathering enough signatures to put the legislation on the ballot.The Maryland State Board of Elections on Thursday reported that 63,118 signatures have been validated. A total of 55,736 were needed to put the measure on the ballot for voters to decide in November 2012.

James Kane’s Body Recovered From Magothy River. Maryland Natural Resources Police officials said the body of a 25-year-old man has been recovered from the Magothy River near Dobbins Island. James Robert Kane had been the subject of a search that started Monday after a single-craft boating accident. Police said Kane and a passenger were ejected into the water after steering their boat too sharply.

Police Revise Description Of B/W Parkway Suspect. Maryland State Police on Thursday afternoon issued a revised description of the man who damaged a speed camera vehicle and caused a shutdown of the B-W Parkway.Police said they began receiving calls around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday reporting shots fired by a man armed with a long gun along the highway. State police later reported no shots were fired, and there were no injuries.
