2 Struck By Car Near Carnival In Severna Park.  Two young people hit by a car Tuesday are recovering at Shock Truama.Sean William Snyder, 19, of Severna Park, was in critical but stable condition, and a 17-year-old Pasadena girl was in critical condition Wednesday.Authorities said two teenagers have been struck by a car while crossing a highway in Anne Arundel County.Investigators said the pair was trying to cross the 100 block of Ritchie Highway at about 8:45 p.m. Tuesday to get to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Department’s annual carnival. Both were flown to Shock Trauma.

Mom Killed, Daughter Injured In Domestic Fight.  A mother was dead and her daughter was injured Wednesday in a domestic incident in Anne Arundel County, police said.County police officers were called shortly after 5 a.m. to the 7729 Jones Drive in Pasadena, where they found Jill Ann Salb and her adult daughter suffering from cuts.Both women were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where Salb was pronounced dead. The daughter was treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.

Time Running Out For Foreclosure Help.  Marylanders facing foreclosure are running out of time to seek help from the state.Volunteers went door-to-door Wednesday in northeast Baltimore to explain state’s emergency mortgage assistance program. The volunteers spread the word with haste because $40 million in assistance is scheduled to expire Sept. 30 or when funds run out, which is estimated to occur before the deadline. The money comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and is set aside to help homeowners facing financial hardships.

Documents: $500 Ransom Demanded For Abducted Baltimore Boy. Court documents show calls demanding more than $500 in ransom for the return of an 8-year-old boy grabbed from his Baltimore street led police to a suspect in the daylight abduction. Darrick Brown Jr.’s father received calls and text messages Monday from a phone registered to Nathaniel Booker. Documents show police tracked the phone to Booker’s home, where it was found under the chair he was in.Booker was charged with kidnapping, kidnapping a child under the age of 16, reckless endangerment, first- and second-degree assault, false imprisonment and extortion.
