Baysox To Host Heroes Night

The Bowie Baysox announced that they will host Heroes Night at Prince George’s Stadium as the Baysox take on the Trenton Thunder Friday, July 22, at 7:05 p.m.  The event includes a display in front of the stadium before the game, tables on the concourse for several government agencies and a special ceremonial first pitch.

Baysox Promotions Manager Chris Rogers helped coordinate the event.  “There are so many hard-working individuals who play a role in protecting and serving the general public,” Rogers said.  “It is nice to host an event like that where we can show our gratitude for everything they do.  We welcome them to the stadium, and we hope our fans relish the opportunity to learn about the agencies and their equipment.”

Fans can interact with real-life heroes in the parking lot before the game.  The Maryland-National Capital Park Police, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Prince George’s County Fire Department and Prince George’s County Police Department will set up stations in the parking lot at 5 p.m.

During the game, the Secret Service will have a fingerprinting station inside the stadium and the United States Attorney’s Office and the Office of the State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County will also have displays on the stadium concourse.

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off.  The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway.  Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
