AMBER ALERT: Boy Abducted In Baltimore

UPDATE 08;48 am, July 12, 2011. Darrick Charles Brown was found unharmed in an abandoned house near the abduction site. Police have one person in custody. More details are available from our media partner, WBAL-TV.

UPDATE: Additional information from Maryland State Police:

Details: Maryland Child Abduction Emergency: Darrick Charles Brown Jr 8 year old Black/Male in the company of 2 unknown black male adults, last seen in the 300 Blk of Gwynn Ave operating a Light Green newer model Ford Taurus. Do not take action call #77 OR 911.

The Maryland State Police at the request of Baltimore City Police have issued a Maryland Child AMBER Alert for Darrick Charles Brown Jr.

CHILD: Darrick Charles Brown Jr. is further described as being 3 Ft and 5 Inches and unknown weight. The child was last seen wearing Black Shorts, Black t-shirt with a red and white rocket on the front.

LOCATION:The child was last observed at approximately 6:30 PM on July 11th in the area of the 300 block of Gwynn Ave in Baltimore City, MD. The child is believed to have been abducted by the suspect.

SUSPECT:Unknown suspect is described as being two black males. No further at this time.

VEHICLE:A possible suspect vehicle is a “newer” Light Green Ford Taurus bearing MD Registration unknown tag at this time Anyone with information is asked to immediately call 911 or Baltimore City Police Department at 410-396-2100. Do not take action which could endanger your safety or further endanger the abducted child.

Our media partner, WBAL-TV is reporting that Baltimore Police have issued an AMBER ALERT for a 7 year old boy who was abducted this evening about 6:30 pm.Witnesses told police that a light green late model Ford Taurus with two people inside stopped and grabbed Darrick Charles Brown, who was walking on the street with others and threw him in the trunk.  If you have any information regarding this continuing investigation, call Baltimore police 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7-LOCK-UP.
