Eastport A Rockin’ Recap

| June 27, 2011, 10:45 AM | 0 Comments

The Eastport A Rockin festival never seems to disappoint. This year was no exception. Friends and neighbors came together for 9 hours of food, music, fun and beer!

The volunteer run event went off without a hitch and featured regional bands such as Them Eastport Oyster Boys, Sweet Leda, Prozakistan, and local favorite Dean Rosenthal with his 4 piece racket.

But if the music was not enough, the weather cooperated perfectly. A sun filled day in the 80s with no humidity pushed the crowd to their feet to dance in the streets and have a fantastic time.  According to organizers, the event  once again, broke records in terms of attendance and funds raised.

The annual event supported two local organizations, the Annapolis Maritime Museum (who offers their facilities to stage the event) and the Annapolis Musicians Fund For Musicians which helps support struggling local artists in need.

If you missed it this year, just clear your calendar for 2012 when the festival returns–no doubt bigger and better!
