County Fire Department Seeks Help In Suspected Arson

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department is seeking the public’s help in providing information regarding an arson fire that occurred in the afternoon on Monday, June 27, 2011.

Fire officials report that at approximately 2:49 p.m. firefighters were dispatched for a reported dryer fire in a 3 story garden apartment building located at 7824 Parke West Drive in the Glen Burnie area of the County.  Fire crews operating at the scene were able to quickly extinguish the fire in the laundry room area of the building.  After extinguishment fire investigators were called to the scene and determined the fire originated in a trash can and is believed to be incendiary in nature.

The Fire Officials are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact Anne Arundel County Arson Investigators at 410-222-TIPS (8477).  Information received can be anonymous – persons do not need to leave their name or any contact information.
