On June 20, 2011, at approximately 7:04 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 2100 block of Priest Bridge Drive in Crofton for an attempted abduction.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 29-year-old female victim, who indicated that she was jogging in the area when she noticed a male subject following her on foot. The suspect eventually approached the victim and asked her for directions to the post office. As she was giving directions, a vehicle described as possibly being a two door, older model, gray, Chevrolet being operated by a second male subject approached the victim. The operator of the vehicle also asked for directions to the post office. At that time, the suspect on foot grabbed the victim from behind and the victim immediately screamed. Consequently, the suspect on foot let go and began running away from the victim towards the Crofton Bowling area while the suspect in the vehicle drove off on Priest Bridge Drive towards Route 450. A witness heard the screams for help, responded to the scene and called 9-1-1.

Several officers responded to the scene to establish a perimeter. Patrol officers, a K-9 unit and the Aviation unit canvassed the area for the suspects, who have not been located at this time.
