Two Of Children’s Theatre Of Annapolis Brightest Stars Coming Home

In the benefit concert & silent auction Louder Than Words, Justin Brill will host an evening of song and dance at the performing arts center that teaches the art and joy of theatre to area youth, Children’s Theatre of Annapolis, whose stage will also be the home of Anna Roberts Ostroff’s summer season of professional New York City theatre.

Children’s Theatre of Annapolis alum Justin Brill, who is currently performing in a featured role in the first national tour of the Broadway musical Wicked, will host a fundraiser concert titled Louder Than Words, to benefit two causes: the “I Can” Team Monica Foundation and Infinity Theatre Company. Infinity Theatre Company is owned by fellow CTA alum Anna Roberts Ostroff and her husband Alan Ostroff.

Mr. Brill was inspired by the “I Can” Team Monica Foundation, which assists women, and their families, around the issues of breast cancer and breast health, by providing education, outreach, and financial support for services related to early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. His 2009 benefit For the Women We Love at Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre raised over $7,000 for metastatic breast cancer research.

The Wicked tour actor is also using the benefit to support his colleague Anna’s company, which is producing its first full season in 2011. Infinity Theatre Company enriches Annapolis with professional New York City theatre that inspires and transforms artists and audiences, through imagination, creation, and the infinite possibilities that are found only in theatre.

Justin Brill was a CTA Miriam Wolfe Scholarship winner in 1996, and has also performed at Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre and the Talent Machine. He will be appearing in Wicked at the Kennedy Center this summer for eleven weeks. Anna Roberts Ostroff, who as a CTA student also performed at Moonlight Troupers and Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre, is an actress, producer, and the founder of the arts outreach non-profit Arts for All in New York City.

Performers include Justin Brill, Merideth Kaye Clark, Dragonfly Dance Experiment, Arik Luck, Alan Ostroff, Anna Roberts Ostroff, Steven Stafford, and members of the casts of Infinity’s 2011 mainstage productions of My Way, A Musical Tribute to FRANK SINATRA and Little Shop of Horrors. Becky Beauman is the event planner.

The Silent Auction begins at 6:00pm, and the cabaret performance starts at 7:00pm.
