Golfing For Charity-May 17

Four Annapolis organizations are banding together again during challenging economic times to raise money for charitable causes.

The Rotary Club of Annapolis, the Annapolis Lions Club, the Annapolis Optimists Club, and Annapolis Masonic Lodge No. 89 will host the second annual Golfing for Charity event on May 17 at the Eisenhower Golf Course in Crownsville. Registration is at 7:30 a.m., with announcements at 8:15 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The $100 per golfer fee includes golf, cart, continental breakfast, unlimited beverages and snacks on the course, an Italian lunch, and an additional free round of golf (four players, with three paying and one free).

Registration is limited and must be done by April 30. Mail registration to Matt Ficca at 162 Conduit St., Annapolis, MD 21401. Make checks payable to “Annapolis Charities: Golfing for Charity” or the specific civic group you support. Sponsorships also are available from $100 Tee Sign to $500 breakfast or beverage cart, and $1,000 for lunch.

Proceeds will be donated to local charities and for projects that these four groups have supported through the years. For information on playing, volunteering, donating prizes, and sponsoring opportunities, contact Eric Edstrom at [email protected] or 410-279-1969 or Matt Ficca at [email protected].
