Baysox Host Bark In The Park

The Bowie Baysox invite fans and their dogs to Bark in the Park at Prince George’s Stadium Sunday, May 15, as the team takes on the Akron Aeros at 2:05 p.m.  The event is held in addition to Mutt Mondays at the stadium, when fans can also bring their dogs to the game.  To celebrate Bark in the Park, the Baysox are giving the first 500 dogs to enter the game a free Baysox leash.

Pooches must be kept on leashes at all times at the stadium, but the team has taken strides to make all four-legged guests feel at home.  The Baysox provide water dishes around the stadium concourse and there are designated doggy-relief areas just outside the stadium.  There will be canine-related tables on the concourse featuring everything from veterinarians to pet grooming services and pooches will be featured on the video board throughout the game.

Baysox Director of Marketing Brandan Kaiser helped plan the event.  “Our mascot, Louie, loves dogs,” said Kaiser.  “That is why we have invited our fans to bring their four-legged friends to so many games this season.  We want to make Baysox baseball accessible for the whole family, including pets.”

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off. The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway.  Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
