Sweet Leda To Perform At Junior League’s Chefs By The Bay

The Junior League of Annapolis announced today they will host its twelfth annual food and wine event, Chefs by the Bay 2011, on April 10, 2011 at the Historic London Town and Gardens. This is a unique gastronomic event, showcasing various local and culinary talents who will prepare an array of delicacies. New this year, guests can sample ales and beers from local breweries and wine from local and national vineyards. The food tastings, the wines and the brew pair perfectly to make this event a true Annapolis culinary experience.

In addition to sampling, Chefs by the Bay includes a competition amongst chefs for the creation of Best Dessert, Best Appetizer, Best Beverage and Best Booth Display, judged by a panel of highly-regarded culinary connoisseurs.

One of the evening’s highlights is the interactive “Hats and Aprons” where one lucky winner will walk away with $1000. A silent auction, raffle of fabulous prizes and live music and entertainment put the finishing touches on a deliciously decadent evening.

All proceeds raised from Chefs by the Bay support the community programs of JLA.

Participating restaurants include Allison’s Restaurant, Annettes Cakery, Barefoot Wines, Bistro at South River, Caroline’s Cakes, Luna Blue, Rustico Restaurant and Wine Bar, Middleton Tavern, Severn Inn and Tin Lizzies. Featured auction items include restaurant gift certificates, jewelry, and season passes to the Annapolis Opera, Waterford Crystal and Round Trip tickets courtesy of JetBlue.
