Union Rally Expected To Draw Thousands To Annapolis.  The director of Maryland’s largest union for state employees said between 5,000 and 10,000 people are expected to attend a rally in Annapolis to protest pension changes.Patrick Moran, director of the Maryland chapter of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, said participants in Monday evening’s rally will walk from the Navy Marine Corps Stadium to the Maryland State House.Gov. Martin O’Malley has proposed changes to address a troubling $19 billion in unfunded pension liabilities and $16 billion in retiree health liabilities.

Anne Arundel Police Apprehend NY Murder Suspect.  A New York City homicide suspect was captured Friday in Millersville, according to Anne Arundel County police officials.New York City Task Force authorities alerted Anne Arundel County police that 42-year-old Michael Kenny, wanted in connection with a murder on Thursday, was heading to a family residence in Millersville. Authorities said Kenny stabbed his wife several times in a New York hair salon.Task force authorities said Kenny was traveling in a white work van that was stolen in New York City.

Woman Dies In Bethesda Store Attack. One employee of an upscale athletic apparel store was killed Friday night and another was bound and sexually assaulted, authorities said.The attack inside the Lululemon Athletica shop occurred Friday night when two masked men in gloves entered after the store closed, said Capt. Paul Starks, a Montgomery County police spokesman. The shop is located in Bethesda.The women were found toward the back of the store Saturday morning when another employee arrived to open the store, found the door unlocked and heard noises from the back of the shop, police said. The employee then went outside and called for help.

MARC’s New Penn Line Schedule To Start Today. The Maryland Transit Administration has announced that a revised schedule for MARC Penn Line Service will start Monday.Penn Line service will increase to eight train sets, providing about 1,000 additional seats during the morning and evening rush hours. The new schedule is being implemented in an effort to reduce overcrowded conditions and improve on-time performance, officials said.With ridership at high volume and continuing to increase on MARC Train service, officials said the new schedule is based on a review of MARC train scheduling and passenger loads. It was developed in conjunction with AMTRAK, they said.
