“Future Is Now” Workshop Scheduled

Robert Ready, mortgage official, will present “Too Good to Be True? Reverse Mortgages, an Often Misunderstood Program” as part of “The Future Is Now! Are You Ready?” series. It will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 16 at the Pascal Senior Activity Center, 125 Dorsey Road, Glen Burnie. The workshop is free and is presented by the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.

One of the most frequent questions regarding financial planning concerns reverse mortgages. This workshop will present a history of the program and discuss basic information regarding costs incurred and proceeds available with the program. Examples of when a reverse mortgage may not be appropriate also will be discussed.

Kris-Leigh Assisted Living and Maxim Healthcare Services are the workshop sponsors. The Department does not endorse any particular vendor or business. To register for the free workshop, go online to www.aacounty.org/aging; scroll to the Caregiving section, or call 410-222-4464, Ext. 3094. Anyone requiring accommodations should contact Dee Sharp at 410-222-4464, Ext. 3094, at least seven days in advance of the workshop. TTY users should call via Maryland Relay 7-1-1. All materials will be available in alternative formats upon request.
