16-Year Old Student Assaulted In Eastport On Way To School Bus

UPDATE 04/01/2011: From the Annapolis Police, they have clarified that this was indeed a sexual assault:

900 Block of Bay Ridge Ave – 3/31 at 6:30am:  A male subject approached a juvenile female victim from behind and grabbed her and groped her through her clothing as she was walking to the school bus stop.  The female was able to break free and fled the area. The male suspect is described as approximately 5’8”, thin build, unknown race, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket and dark colored pants.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Annapolis Police Department.

On March 31, 2011 the Annapolis Police Department responded to the area of the 800 block of Chesapeake Ave. in reference to an assault that had just occurred.  At approximately 6:30 this morning, a 16 year old female was walking through an alleyway to her school bus stop when she was grabbed from behind by a male subject.  The female was able to pull free and flee the area.

The suspect is described as a male, unknown race, approximately 5’8” wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket and dark pants.
