Tickets are on sale now for the 8th annual Black Tie and Diamonds Gala sponsored by the Rotary of Annapolis Foundation Inc. on Saturday, March 5 from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Westin Hotel, 100 Westgate Circle, in Annapolis.
The gala benefits the Light House, a homeless prevention support center in Annapolis. Cocktails will be at 6 p.m. with dinner, dancing to the music of Millennium, a popular Washington, D.C.,-based band, and additional festivities starting at 7 p.m.
Guests can bid on a multiple of silent and live auction items including Navy skybox tickets for the opening game in 2011, a giclee print on canvas from McBride Gallery, a Pandora S.S. bracelet from Smyth Jewelers, additional jewelry from Cecilia Penzo , 4 Ravens tickets, gift baskets, passes to a tour of the Thomas Point Shoal lighthouse from the Annapolis Maritime Museum, and a night for two in the Westin Hotel’s Presidential Suite.
There will be a 50-50 cash raffle with only 300 tickets sold at $100 each. The Light House members also are selling these tickets. The winner need not be present to win.
Co-chairmen of the event are Bobbi Pedrick and Dave Wright; committee members include Jeff Neufeld, Mary Clare Holder, Lindon Rice, Ron Baradel, Larry Ulvila, Jack Kersh, and Mary Felter.
