Annapolis Accident Sends Man To Shock Trauma

A two car accident on Bay Ridge Avenue Road in front on the McDonalds sent a 25 year old man to Baltimore Shock-Trauma by helicopter this afternoon and brought approximately 20 firefighters and medical personnel from Anne Arundel County and Annapolis City Fire Departments.

The vehicles involved were a Ford Explorer and a Toyota RAV-4. The Ford was turned on its side and the driver was extricated from the rear of the vehicle.

The driver of the Toyota appeared to be uninjured.

All traffic heading into the Annapolis neck was stopped at Hillsmere Drive. Traffic heading out was stopped at Georgetown Road, but drivers were cutting through the parking lot of the Main Ingredient as their one entrance was not blocked by emergency equipment.
