Hispanic Youth Mini-Symposium

Hispanic high school students looking for a vision of hope about the future, an understanding of the importance of a college education, and an increased sense of self-confidence can find it this Saturday at Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ first Hispanic Youth   Mini-Symposium.

The event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South River High School, is geared toward Hispanic high school students who are interested in attending college and developing leadership skills. Students will have the opportunity to listen to motivational speakers, participate in student-led workshops, and network with other high school students.

Popular Hispanic inspirational speaker and comedian Ernie G will deliver the keynote address.

No registration is necessary for the event, which is free and open to the public. South River High School is located at 201 Central Avenue East in Edgewater.
