Missing Dancer From Anne Arundel County’s Body Found In Vegas.  The search for a missing Las Vegas dancer from Anne Arundel County has come to a grim end.Police said they found the body of Deborah Flores-Navarez on Saturday.Investigators later arrested her boyfriend, Jason Griffith, 32.Flores-Navarez, 31, had been missing for nearly a month.Authorities said more arrests could occur and that the investigation is still under way.

Politicians Evaluate Security After Tuscon Shooting. The Arizona shooting rampage has many politicians re-evaluating their own security.Some are even questioning whether the shootings are a sign that the political climate has become poisonous.The U.S. House of Representatives suspended its normal business for the week to give members time to deal with the tragedy and organize their own security protocols.WBAL-TV spoke with Rep. Dutch Rupersberger’s press secretary about the issue Monday.She said the congressman is determined to keep interacting with the public, but he wants to make sure he and his constituents aren’t put at risk.

Maryland Prepares For Snowfall.  The 11 News viewing area is bracing for a winter weather system that is expected to pound cities further northeast but mostly take it easy on Baltimore.A winter weather advisory is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning in much of Maryland. About 1-4 inches of snow is possible in the metro area, with 3-6 inches possible in northeast Maryland.Meteorologist Tony Pann said flurries and light snow are likely Tuesday afternoon as the system moves in.”It’s going to take several hours for the air to saturate,” Pann said, adding that “dry air” was preventing Tuesday morning snow in the area.

Police: Officer Killed By Friendly Fire. City police on Monday confirmed that a police officer who was shot to death outside a nightclub was killed by another officer.A civilian was also killed, and four others were wounded.Officer William Torbit Jr., 33, died in the early Sunday incident, according to the Baltimore City Police Department. The officer was on duty but was in plain clothes. Sources familiar with the investigation told I-Team lead investigative reporter Jayne Miller that Torbit was responding to a call for a disturbance at the Select Lounge nightclub on North Paca Street at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Torbit first tried to break up a dispute among several women, after which a number of men started attacking Torbit.
