Police: Woman Sexually Assaulted At Annapolis Mall. A woman, who as of Sunday afternoon had not been identified, was sexually assaulted at the Annapolis Mall after she was pulled away from friends and into a vehicle, according to Anne Arundel County police.Police responded to a report about a possible sexual assault and abduction at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.The initial investigation indicated the victim and her friends were walking near the mall parking garage when they were approached by the suspect. The suspect pulled the victim into his vehicle where she was sexually assaulted, according to police.

Man Struck By Two vehicles In Severna Park Dies. Anne Arundel County police said a pedestrian died after being struck by two trucks after he attempted to cross Ritchie Highway in Severna Park on Saturday.James Howard Minnix was crossing from the west to east side of Ritchie Highway at about 10:30 p.m. when he was struck by a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager van that was traveling southbound on Ritchie Highway. He was thrown into the roadway and subsequently struck by a 2002 Ford F-150 truck, according to investigators.

Marylanders Share Sorrow In Arizona Shooting. U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona was shot in the head Saturday when an assailant opened fire outside a grocery store during a meeting with constituents, killing a 9-year-old boy and a federal judge and wounding several others in a rampage that rattled the nation. Giffords was among at least 10 people wounded, and the hospital said her outlook was “optimistic” and that she was responding to commands from doctors. The hospital said a 9-year-old child was among the killed, and a U.S. Marshal said a federal judge was also fatally shot in the attack.

Ravens Outrank Chiefs, Advance To Pittsburgh. Chiefs head coach Todd Haley kept telling his youthful that Baltimore’s defense was the best they’d see all year.He was right.Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and the rest of the battle-tested Ravens rattled the Chiefs into five turnovers and held their offense to 25 yards in the second half in a 30-7 playoff victory Sunday. Joe Flacco threw two touchdown passes and Billy Cundiff kicked three field goals as the offense pounced on the scoring chances created by the Ravens’ smothering, veteran defense.”It’s a lot of fun to come on the road in places like this and be confidence in yourself, confidence in your teammates,” Flacco said.
