At 1:37 p.m. this afternoon, emergency units from the Annapolis and United States Naval Academy Fire Departments responded to the intersection of King George and Hanover Streets in Annapolis, Maryland to assist with what was reported as a suspicious package. Upon arrival, Annapolis Fire Department Bomb Technicians found a package sitting on the ground on Hanover Street, outside of Gate 3 of the United States Naval Academy.  Hanover Street and a portion of Maryland Avenue were closed while bomb technicians investigated.   After further investigation, bomb technicians determined that the package was only a tool box full of tools.  Units became available at 3:36 p.m.  There is no additional information to report at this time.
