Dogwood Acres Donates more than 400 pounds of food to Light House Shelter
Furry Friends donate 400lbs of people food to The Light House…..

Through the generosity of their clients and staff, Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat, the region’s premiere pet lodging, daycare and spa facility, held a food drive from Thanksgiving to Christmas and collected over 400 pounds of food to donate to The Light House: A Homeless Prevention Support Center in Annapolis.

“We are so thankful to everyone whose generosity during this holiday season helped to feed those in need during our canned food drive to benefit The Light House shelter”, shared Audrey Reichardt, co-owner of Dogwood Acres Pet Retreat in Davidsonville. “We are already planning to hold another drive this summer as we know the need is great all year long.”

The Light House shelter serves as a beacon of hope to Anne Arundel County’s most fragile neighbors. For over two decades, the Light House shelter has been steadfast in their mission of rebuilding lives with service and compassion by providing shelter, preventing homelessness and empowering people in Anne Arundel County as they work to become self-sufficient.
