Body Dropped Off On Glen Burnie Highway

UPDATE 03:18 pm 01/28/2011: Glen Burnie Patch is reporting that the woman has been identified as Dawn Lynn Gable, 43, of Cross Creek Drive in Glen Burnie. This is the second hit and run in two days in the County.

UPDATE 12:49 pm 01/28/2011: From Anne Arundel County Police:

On January 27, 2011, at approximately 10:17 p.m., officers responded to the area of Cross Creek Drive and Highlander Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of a body lying in the street.

Upon arrival, officers located the 43-year-old female victim, who had sustained massive trauma to her body and was declared dead at the scene by Fire Department personnel. The area was thoroughly canvassed and it was determined through investigation that the victim had been dragged by a vehicle east on Cross Creek Drive.

Due to the nature of the incident, the Traffic Safety Section was requested to respond to take charge of the investigation. Despite the area canvass, there have been no witnesses located at this time. Furthermore, there is no suspect or possible suspect vehicle information that can be provided. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Traffic Safety Section at 410-222-8573(77).

Anne Arundel County Police have responded to the intersection of Cross Creek and Highlander Drives in Glen Burnie where a body was “dropped off” in the middle of the road.  Developing.
