Arundel Mills Mall Casino Gets Green Light. A plan to bring a temporary casino to the Arundel Mills Mall got the green light from the Slots Location Commission on Monday.The Cordish Company presented its plan to get the casino up and running before the permanent facility is ready.The hearing was an update on the implementation of slots across the state.Officials said the meeting went over how existing casinos are doing and the status of projects in the works — including the one in Anne Arundel County that is on course to become the largest casino in the state.

Woman Killed In Edgewater CrashAnne Arundel County police said a woman died after a Sunday night crash in Edgewater.The crash occurred at about 9:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Central Avenue.Police said a 2011 Nissan Versa traveling westbound crossed into the other lane and eventually left the road and hit a stone post marking the entrance of a driveway.

6 Dead In East Baltimore Fire.  City firefighters said six people have died after a Tuesday morning rowhouse fire in east Baltimore.The two-alarm fire occurred in the 2300 block of Homewood Avenue.Crews arrived just before 5 a.m. to find heavy fire conditions in a pair of two-story brick homes. Firefighters gained entry to perform a rapid attack on the fire, but the conditions began to deteriorate due to Tuesday morning’s wind gusts.

Ravens Get Defensive TD Against Texans In Houston. The Baltimore Ravens almost blew another one, until their trademark defense saved the game. Josh Wilson intercepted Matt Schaub’s pass and returned it 12 yards for a touchdown in overtime, lifting the Ravens to a 34-28 win over the Houston Texans on Monday night. The Ravens (9-4) stayed one game behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North despite blowing a 28-7 lead in the second half. Schaub threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Andre Johnson and a 2-point conversion to Jacoby Jones with 21 seconds left in regulation to cap the unlikely rally.
