Annapolis Chorale To Perform December 9th & 10th

Live Arts Maryland and Music Director J. Ernest Green invite everyone to share some   holiday cheer this year at the annual Celebration Annapolis Chorale Celebrates Christmasof Christmas concerts on Thursday, December 9 (7:30 p.m.) and Friday, December 10 (8 p.m.) at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.  This annual Annapolis tradition mixes the best music and sentiments of the season with a big dose of fun.   This year’s concerts get some real star power with special guests Broadway stars Mark McVey (Jean Valjean in “Les Miserables”) and Christy Tarr-McVey (“Jekyll & Hyde,” “The Who’s Tommy”) who will perform holiday classics as well as signature Broadway songs.  The Annapolis Chorale, Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and Annapolis Youth Chorus will perform holiday classics, carols and favorites under the direction of Mr. Green.

“We know everyone has a favorite holiday carol or song they treasure, so we include as much music as possible,” says Mr. Green.  “This is one of our favorite concerts every year.”  Everyone gets into the act with a special holiday carol sing-along finale.

Live Arts Maryland, J. Ernest Green, Music Director, is one of the region’s largest and most active non-profit arts organizations and is home to the Annapolis Chorale, the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, the Annapolis Youth Chorus and the St. Anne’s Concert Series.  It offers music education programs for singers of all ages, including the MusicWorks school partnership, a scholarship program for high-school music students and workshops for adults.  The Annapolis Chorale is a resident company of Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts and is supported by the Maryland State Arts Council, the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County and the City of Annapolis.
