On brisk fall day, the Maritime Republic of Eastport fell to Annapolis in the 13th Annual Slaughter Across The Water. The final tally was 4 wins for Annapolis and three for Eastport. The rivalry kicked off at the crack o’ noon with a quick defeat of the Bars of Eastport by the Bars of Annapolis.

However, once again, the Annapolis Fire Department (tugging for Eastport) proved that they have what it takes to defeat the Annapolis Police Department. This tug lasted almost 5 minutes and for a moment it looked like the police might have had an advantage, but the firefighters pulled through in the end. It was reported that an East Porto Rican was spotted in Annapolis with a dozen doughnuts which may have had something to do with the police being distracted.  Attorney General Doug Gansler has assured us of a complete and thorough investigation.

Enjoy a selection of photos from the tug and be sure to visit our gallery for the full complement of 97 shots!  For more information on the event or the maritime Republic of Eastport, please visit their website!  Come back tomorrow for the videos!
