Bruster’s Teams Up With Santa Run

Beginning Saturday, December 4th and continuing for 8 days, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream in Annapolis will attempt to “Fill a Freezer” with new unwrapped toys for local children. Customers who visit the store and donate a toy will be treated to a free single scoop of ice cream.
Bruster’s Annapolis, located at 1409 Forest Drive, is open year round and will feature seasonal ice cream favorites such as Peppermint, Rum Raisin, and Eggnog in addition to our popular flavors made on-site. Photos of the progress in filling the freezer will be posted daily to brustersannapolis.com.
On Sunday, December 12th beginning at 4pm, firefighters and Santas will be on the trucks and fan out across the area in 5 separate routes as part of the Annapolis Santa Run. Usually putting out fires, this Run will instead try to light up children’s faces by collecting new toys from Annapolis neighborhoods.
The Annapolis Santa Run is sponsored by volunteers from the Annapolis Professional Firefighters under the direction of local firefighter John Muhitch. Muhitch says the goal of the run is simple:
“Make sure that every Annapolis area child has a toy under the tree on Christmas morning.”
One of the routes begins at Bruster’s to meet customers and collect the toys donated by generous ice cream fans. More information about the Annapolis Santa Run can be found at annapolissantarun.com.
