Tracey’s Elementary Sponsoring After School Classes

Tracey’s Elementary students grades 1 – 5 can participate in free after-school classes held at the school on Wednesdays Oct 6, Oct 13, Oct 20 and Oct 27 from 3:45 – 4:45.  The program is provided by  the Tracey’s Elementary PTA  After School Enrichment Program in the fall and spring each school year.  Tracey’s Elementary teachers and members from local organizations volunteer “hands-on” instruction in a variety of topics to augment the school curriculum.

October Classes include:

  • Pets and the Community:  Students learn about pets with visits from members of the Humane Society and AAC Animal Control (and special 4-legged friends)!
  • Birds and Bulbs:  Students enhance the courtyard garden  by planting perennial bulbs while learning about local bird life.
  • Kuk Sool Martial Arts:  Students experience Kuk Sool Korean martial arts with a Black Belt instructor while earning their first belt.
  • Outdoor Walking Clubs – Students earn awards as walking goals are reached.  The program culminates in a local 3K walk.
  • Scrapbooking – Students and their parents share memories as they create personal scrapbooks.
