Sign Stealer May Be Linked To Penn Nat’l/Jockey Club

Anne Arundel County police are currently investigating a possible link between a man charged with stealing and destroying pro-slots campaign signs and the Maryland Jockey Club, which wants to open a slots parlor at Laurel Park.On Thursday, the Jockey Club and the No Slots at the Mall group said they don’t know anything about the defendant and said he has no ties to their campaign.But according to a law enforcement source, the arrest of David Corrigan does not mean the case is closed.Corrigan, a 50-year-old defense industry executive at Northrup Grumman, was charged over the weekend with stealing and destroying campaign signs supporting slots next to Arundel Mills Mall.According to a law enforcement source, police are investigating a possible connection between Corrigan and the Jockey Club, which has teamed up with neighbors of the mall in waging an expensive public relations battle to defeat ballot Question A.
