Glen Burnie Man Accused Of Stealing Campaign Signs.  A 50-year-old man is accused of stealing campaign signs in Anne Arundel County.Officers said they were called to the intersection of Route 2 and Route 10 after residents reported having some campaign and political signs stolen.Police said they witnessed a man knocking over signs near Route 2 and Earleigh Heights Road.Investigators said the man told officers he was responsible for the thefts. He was identified as David Corrigan, of Glen Burnie.

Hundreds Turn Out On First Day Of Early Voting. Elections officials on the Eastern Shore said the first day of early voting for the general election was busy. Talbot County chief judge Charles Bennett said more than 500 turned out in Easton on the first day Friday, compared to a total of about 1,400 for the six days of early voting during the primary.In Caroline County, two additional voting machines had to be added to the four original machines to handle the number of voters.

Leopold’s Lawsuit Subject Of Negative Political Flier. The gloves came off Friday in the fight for the Anne Arundel County executive’s seat.Campaign literature for Democrat Joanna Conti is reminding voters about the sexual harassment accusations against incumbent Republican John Leopold.Conti, who is originally from Colorado, is a businesswoman and mother of four. She said she did it as part of her effort to restore ethics and integrity to the office.

Former NYC Mayor Giuliani Stumps For Ehrlich.  Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani campaigned in Maryland for Republican former Gov. Robert Ehrlich.Giuliani spoke Sunday at a farm in Montgomery County, Maryland’s largest jurisdiction and a key focus of the candidates in Maryland’s governor’s race.Giuliani criticized Ehrlich’s opponent, Gov. Martin O’Malley, saying his “anti-business policies” have driven jobs out of the state.Giuliani also said O’Malley has made Maryland a harbor for illegal immigrants.
