Annapolis Bus Service Fully Restored. Transportation officials said bus service in Annapolis has been fully restored and all 10 bus routes are back in service. Some bus services stopped Oct. 1 after maintenance problems left just five buses in operation.The buses have since been fixed and are back in service, transportation officials said.They said a new schedule will go into effect Nov. 6.

Salons in Maryland are offering customers pink hair extensions in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.Xsalonce salon in Pasadena is offering the pink strands at $10 each with the proceeds going to Anne Arundel Medical Center.At Rumors Salon and Day Spa in Pasadena manager Lori Zeck said the proceeds are going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
Ehrlich, O’Malley Face Off After Delay. A debate between Maryland’s current and former governors started 20 minutes late and was in at least some danger of not taking place at all.11 News I-Team reporter David Collins said Republican challenger Robert Ehrlich almost walked out of a Monday debate with Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley because fellow Democrats Rep. Elijah Cummings, Sen. Barbara Mikulski and Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith were in attendance.Collins reported that the debate rules dictated there would no partisan support present.Ehrlich spokesman Andy Barth confirmed that the debate’s late start was because of Ehrlich’s concerns.
Family Questions Soldier’s Treatment Before Death. A Catonsville family will travel to Arlington National Cemetery this week to bury its oldest son.Army Sgt. John Burner III died last month in Iraq, but he didn’t die in combat. His parents said he died while waiting for medical treatment.Burner’s parents said they are grieving their son’s death and also demanding answers. They said they feel their son may still be alive, if he’d gotten proper medical care.”We’ve trusted the Army with both of our sons. We feel we’ve been let down,” Burner’s father, John Burner, said.Family members said Burner left for his third tour in Iraq in August. They said he developed symptoms of a respiratory illness while in Kuwait.
