UPDATE: From the photographer who shot the video, Jon Salvia, please read more about the filming here.

For years, there has been a good natured rivalry between Downtown Annapolis and Eastport. Many people may not know exactly how it all started, but this video gives an excellent recap of how it all began and the history of the annual Tug-of-War. This year marks the 13th time the two waring cities have tugged and as always it will begin at the crack o’ noon! This year on November 6th.

The rivalry and the tug are all in the name of good natured fun and results in a LOT of charitable benefits to our local community. Please mark your calendar for this signature event–even if you are on the Annapolis side!

You can also check out the video of the other signature event–the .05K Run.
