The investigation revealed that early on the morning of September 29, 2010, Reid led the victim from school property and walked her into a wooded area off Riva Road and across from the entrance to the Arundel Olympics Swim Center.

On a foot path in the woods, Reid made advances toward the victim, but was rebuked.  The victim tried to run away, but Reid became angry and threw a large stick at the victim knocking her to the ground.  Reid then held the victim on the ground and sexually assaulted her.

The victim returned to the school after the incident and it was later reported it to the School Resource Officer.
