Return To The Land Of Oz Seminars

Are you a caregiver for someone with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease? You are not alone in handling this challenge – get some assistance from the National Family Caregiver Support Program at the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities.

The Fall 2010 Caregiver Workshops Series, “Living in the Land of Oz,” starts Sept. 14, 21, and 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Arnold Senior Activity Center, 44 Church Road. The series will be repeated Sept. 23 and 30 and Oct. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Brooklyn Park Senior Activity Center, 202 Hammonds Lane. Additional workshops will be held at the other five senior activity centers through December.

During the series, learn about different types of dementia, research and treatments, behavior management, and skills to use in everyday life. The series is facilitated by Mary Fridley, registered nurse and founder of Gero-Resources LLC.
