County Executive John R. Leopold invites the public to attend the 20th Birthday Celebration at Quiet Waters Park on September 4th and 5th.
Celebrate Quiet Waters Park 20th Birthday in a family-friendly weekend of activities and special blend of musical performances. Start the two-day event with a 5K Fun Run through Quiet Waters Park’s beautiful landscape. Children will enjoy fun-filled activities such as hay rides, arts & crafts, touch-a-truck display, helicopter landing, race down the park’s largest hill and much more. Take part in a family airband competition which will rock the park. Listen to the sounds of Pilgrim & Trout to include a mix of musical styles.
On Sunday enjoy an opening performance at 4:00 p.m. with Caribbean music by Sweet Lime & Passion. The celebration’s finale includes an amazing performance by the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra is led by Music Director José-Luis Novo and will feature pops favorites and light classics.
The event fee will be a flashback to 1990’s entry fee. The cost is $3.00 per vehicle on Saturday, September 4th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 5th from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Quiet Waters Park opened in September 1990 and is nestled between the South River and Harness Creek in Annapolis.
