Mina Johns, Licensed Acupuncturist and Owner, has relocated Annapolis Community Acupuncture, LLC to 17 North Southwood Avenue, just 1 block west of the West Street Library in Annapolis.

Annapolis Community Acupuncture’s mission is to provide affordable, high quality acupuncture for the people of Annapolis. They provide treatment in a community (group) setting, in a soothing space that welcomes all people. Acupuncture empowers people to take responsibility for their own health, to listen to their own inner wisdom, and to access the healing power they already have within.

Annapolis Community Acupuncture is part of a growing movement in this country that is returning to the traditional way of acupuncture practice – community treatments. Community acupuncture is designed to create easy access to acupuncture services, by providing treatment that costs much less than private acupuncture. Services are offered on a sliding scale of $20 to $45 per treatment (plus a one-time $10 paperwork fee for the first visit). Suggested fees are based upon income, with the understanding that each person’s circumstances are unique. Therefore, the cost of treatment is decided by the client. This sliding scale makes it possible for everyone to get the needed care, as often as needed. Additional treatments in the same week are only $15 each.

The treatments are designed specifically for the client, and are provided in a group setting in comfortable recliners. Treatments are performed using acupuncture points known as “distal points” located on the arms & legs, head, neck, face & ears. All conditions, even back pain, can be treated using these distal points. This makes it possible to receive treatment while remaining fully clothed.
