Last Call For The Mexican Cafe
Last Day At Current Location, Tuesday September 28th
The owners of The Mexican Cafe have spent the last few months finding a new home for their iconic Annapolis restaurant. On September 28th, they will serve their last margarita before heading across town to the former Northwoods restaurant in West Annapolis.
The little shack has gained quite a following in last 17 years. In the late 90s before the outside deck, it was a fun local place to go and spend the night. Walk up to the cooler and select your own cerveza–the honor system was alive and well and it was a secret oasis for many. Then the word got about their margaritas and the secret was out.
Their satellite location, Mexican Cafe TOGO, across the street in the Bay Forest Shopping Center will remain open for limited seating and carryout orders.

Hey this new location is in Josh’s neighborhood. I wondered if he will be “honored” ( he always says that on twitter) to cut the ribbon there. Just can’t see Josh being able to hang with such a motley crew.
Au Contraire, Fred, I have been to the M.C. with Josh multiple times and I know he is looking forward to it being in our ‘hood.
Somehow I always imagine Josh having tea with old people. I look forward to seeing him there as it is in a better part of town. Maybe he will join the revolution and engage me in a drinking contest.
