Golf Classic To Benefit Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are painful, unpredictable diseases that attack the digestive system. Many patients require hospitalization and surgery. These illnesses can cause severe complications, including colon cancer in patients with long-term disease. Some 1.4 million American adults and children suffer from Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, with as many as 150,000 under the age of 18. Most people develop the diseases between the ages of 15 and 35.

There is something fun you can do to help. Are you a golfer? Sign up for the Inaugural Putts For Guts Golf Classic to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America.

The date is Saturday, October 2nd at the Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena.

For more information about Crohn’s and Colitis and to register to play, you can download the flier here (PDF).  If you are interested in sponsoring this worthwhile cause, here is a link to the sponsorship kit (PDF). You can also learn more by visiting the website set up for the event.

On a personal level, this is a great cause as a family member and a good friend of mine have Crohn’s. If you can spare a Saturday, I urge you to do so and have some fun for a good cause!
