An Annapolis High School student has been missing since Monday, September 20th. Amber Nick has not been seen since the close of school on Monday. The school district is aware and is working with the police and family to help locate this girl.

The flier below has been presumably created by the family. It is unclear if this is being handled by Annapolis City Police or Anne Arundel County Police; but if you see Amber Nick or have any information, please call 911 or the number on the flier.

Anne Arundel County Police are handling the investigation and have released the following statement:

The Anne Arundel County Police Department became aware of a 14-year-old missing female juvenile on September 20, 2010 at approximately 5:00 PM.  The police department continues to work closely with the family and the school to pursue all leads and are investigating this as a missing person. At this time, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this investigation. Per procedure, the investigation is now being handled by the department’s Missing Persons Squad of the Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information can contact Detective Jay Schline at 410-222-3588.
