Shooting In Glen Burnie

From Anne Arundel County Police Department:

On August 12, 2010 at approximately 1643 hours, officers from the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern District responded to a reported shooting in the 100 block of Warkwickshire Lane, Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Responding officers spoke with a 29-year-old male victim who stated he was walking along a wooded path near a building in the 100 block of Warkwickshire Lane when he heard shots being fired.  The victim stated he ran but was shot multiple times.  The victim was struck once in an upper extremity and twice in a lower extremity.

Northern District Detectives responded to the scene to assume primary responsibility for the investigation.  The victim was alert and conscious prior to transport to Harbor Hospital for treatment.  Numerous officers, K-9 and the Aviation Unit responded to the area to search for suspects, but none were located.  Officers and Detectives continue to interview witnesses and gather evidence, but there is no further information available at this time concerning a suspect(s), motive or the victim’s updated condition.  Persons with information on this incident are encouraged to contact Detective Goldberg, Northern District, 410.222.6135.
